Calubcub Bay Resort

Image
We went here this month, April 2019. Booked the Villa 6 for 9 pax. Here are the pros and cons for those who are eyeing this resort. Pros: - villa 6 is sooo spacious. They have 2 bedrooms, one is on the ground flr and the other room is upstairs. - kitchen amenities are complete and clean and ready to use. (Just bring yourself na lang talaga 😊). - staff are friendly, even assisted us right away since there were people resting on the dining area in our villa (but we don't mind, it's too hot when we arrived) and the staff cleaned the area asap. - rooms are big can fit more than 9 pax based on the room's no. of occupants. - if peak season they don't allow walk-in guests to prevent the place to be overcrowded w/c is good diba 👍😁 - they have ample parking space. - they have amenities for team bldgs etc. Cons: - wifi is only available in the common area (but isn't good for enjoying and unplugging right? 😊) - the sand is not white, it is somewhat bl...

Minalungao National Park, General Tinio Nueva Ecija

Want to have a quick getaway with your family and friends, be close to nature and be ready to have an adventurous day? You can try this precious gem located General Tinio, Nueva Ecija. Last March 2018, me and my beau with two other friends went here for a quick adventure. We have searched for a contact person from a DIY group in Facebook and luckily we found a reliable tour guide and reasonable price for the whole day trip. We traveled by a private car so we just set a meet up point with kuya our trip coordinator and with his team, he assigned a tour guide dedicated for our whole stay. We were four pax, we paid 800 per head and this would be the inclusions: - Registration fee - Parking fee (our car was parked near the bamboo rafts registration) - Bamboo rafting (this would be our floating cottage too for the included lunch) - Swimming (with life vests, since there are areas with strong current) - Spelunking - Hanging bridge - Cliff diving (but we're too tired after...

Coco Beach Island, Puerto Galera

Image
Scorching heat is on, everyone is starting to turn up the ac, eating icecream and halo-halo, wearing comfy clothes, and everyone's excited to go to the beach. If you're looking for a secluded and relaxing place to hangout, Coco beach Island may be suitable for you ☺. Located in the island of Puerto Galera, this is very easy to go to. If you are coming from Metro Manila, just a few hours drive to south. Go to Batangas Pier, pick a boat ride going to Muelle port and from there, several small boats can be hired to bring you to the Coco beach island. Or if you want a hassle free ride you can have a special arrangement they called "Coco Express" by contacting their Manila booking office. Travel time is roughly three to four hours depending on traffic and weather conditions. I stayed at Coco beach last way way back, May of 2015 (May 16th until the 18th) with my lifetime partner to celebrate our 6th year anniversary. It was my first time in Puerto Galera and I can sa...

Baler, Aurora

Image
Last May 3, 2014, define “last minute”, as in last minute decision to go, since there were people who backed out, me and my beau decided to join the “Baler Trip” with our colleagues. We departed right away after our shift ended. We arrived in the morning of May 4, a hearty brunch welcomed us made by the kind and very accommodating mom of our office mate. This is my first time to ate the pa-ko topped with salted egg and enselada. Pa-ko salad with salted egg and dried fish, what a hearty breakfast and great way to start our trip! =) After brunch, we were supposed to go to Mother Falls but because there are so many people that time, we decided to go to Dinadiawan in Dipaculao, Aurora. It’s a 2 hour drive from Baler, but the long hours of waiting is worth it. White sand and pristine beach awaits you. Here are some of the pictures taken from the beach. After the trip, we went back to Baler and rented the beach house of our office-mate. This seats right infront of the beac...
