Coco Beach Island, Puerto Galera

Scorching heat is on, everyone is starting to turn up the ac, eating icecream and halo-halo, wearing comfy clothes, and everyone's excited to go to the beach. If you're looking for a secluded and relaxing place to hangout, Coco beach Island may be suitable for you ☺.

Located in the island of Puerto Galera, this is very easy to go to. If you are coming from Metro Manila, just a few hours drive to south. Go to Batangas Pier, pick a boat ride going to Muelle port and from there, several small boats can be hired to bring you to the Coco beach island. Or if you want a hassle free ride you can have a special arrangement they called "Coco Express" by contacting their Manila booking office. Travel time is roughly three to four hours depending on traffic and weather conditions.

I stayed at Coco beach last way way back, May of 2015 (May 16th until the 18th) with my lifetime partner to celebrate our 6th year anniversary. It was my first time in Puerto Galera and I can say that staying for three days in Coco beach was a blast. It's a total relaxation and very close to nature experience, the feeling on just listening on the waves while lying on the hammock was awesome. The people most specially our service family was indeed accommodating. The buffet breakfast was superb 👍. The activities were all fun although we weren't able to do all since it's just a few days, but all in all the experience is unforgettable :) looking forward to go back in this paradise 👍👍👍👍👍.

We arrived early morning in our accommodation in Coron since we took a ferry from Manila. We were hungry and since we don't like to eat in our hotel and we wanted to explore the town already, we asked kuya guard to hail a tricycle and he gladly got one for us. We said to kuya guard we wanted to eat "sa mura lang" (cheap only) and he just instructed the driver to "murang restaurant" (cheap restaurant). Good thing the driver is kind enough to drive is to Lolo Nonoy's. At first it seemed like a simple eatery and not that busy since it was around 8am when we got there. We were greeted by the staff and handed out the menu. The price is reasonable enough not that very cheap and not the pricey. There are cooked viands available as well if you are very hungry and not willing to wait. We ordered Dinuguan and Papaitan and true enough we only paid 355 (plus 2 rice and 1 soda). We saw the nearby table ordering Calamares and we craved so we planned to get back ahaha.

Baler, Aurora

Last May 3, 2014, define “last minute”, as in last minute decision to go, since there were people who backed out, me and my beau decided to join the “Baler Trip” with our colleagues. We departed right away after our shift ended. We arrived in the morning of May 4, a hearty brunch welcomed us made by the kind and very accommodating mom of our office mate. This is my first time to ate the pa-ko topped with salted egg and enselada. Pa-ko salad with salted egg and dried fish, what a hearty breakfast and great way to start our trip! =) After brunch, we were supposed to go to Mother Falls but because there are so many people that time, we decided to go to Dinadiawan in Dipaculao, Aurora. Coron Palawan, definitely a paradise that you'll go back to again and again...

Coron, definitely a paradise that you'll go back to again and again. It was my dream destination ever-since. My partner share the same sentiment as well. It was our 10th year anniversary last May 18, since this is a very special event, we decided to have a special celebration. We made our dream destination come true 😊. Going to Coron is not that easy breezy, you have to budget everything and prepare early to get cheap flights and to get accommodations especially if your planned date will fall on peak season, summer. Summer is the busiest time for all who wants to relax on the beach and to travel. So I strongly suggest you look early for cheap flights or seat sales. Or you can also take a ferry it's much cheaper. Coron is indeed a jaw dropping paradise, surrounded by huge limestone formations and pristine white sand beaches, the trip was all totally worth it.
